Pantelleria Island

Beloved Pantelleria is a small (9miles x 4 miles) Italian volcanic island, located 30 miles North off the coast of Tunisia and 50 miles south of Sicily.

The island radiates with inescapable beauty and primordial presence that magnifies the deepest levels of the unconscious. The elements are direct and veils are thin, greatly supporting the surfacing of unconscious material, psychic insights and awakening to the dream state. It is felt by many to have strong connection with the mystical and spiritual dating back to Atlanian times. The island has been throughout history the home of shaman women, oracles and those living a more ancient monastic life style, all adding to the rich personal history and strong healing resonance of the island. The island is famous for its archeological treasures on land and in the sea.

The Island has a local population of around 7000 people, many of whom are farmers of grapes for wine, capers and olives for oil. The islanders are land-based people with a strong fiery characters and live very simple lives, and now there are many living here from Romania and Albania seeking better lives for their families.

We are surrounded by deep blue ocean full of variety of sea life and color, our houses are made of the volcanic obsidian-based rock that the island is made up of and famous for, with walls one and half meters thick to keep you cool in the hot seasons.

We will be walking the land, feeling breathing, and listening to her stories, as they re-verberate in our bodies.  Many old trails run along the coast and up the mountains through the pine forest. We will spend time with the Lago di Venere (Lake of Venus) blue lagoon sulphuric crater lake which is near my house, and if it is warm enough, rub the mud on our skin allowing it to dry and draw the toxins from our bodies before washing it off in the lake. The lake is the spiritual center of the island with divinatory properties and land embroiled in the mystery of the feminine, and for those sensitive to their affinity with ancient Egypt and Atlantan cultures here is a wonderful place to deepen in your understanding of that knowledge. It was here that I have felt the priestesses of old once lived and it is a great blessing to be touched by the very pure energy of this environment.

Up in the mountain there is a natural sauna cave along a beautiful trail that leads to the middle of the island into a very sacred valley where no one lives, where hot steam from underground volcanic activity rises out of the earth covering the valley in a serene veil.

There are also several hot water holes to sink into in the cool of the evening to warm you through and through.

Everything about Pantelleria is designed for deepening whether than be healing, nourishment, death, rebirth, adventure and expansion. Her medicine is strong, primordial reaching the roots of our experience and with magnetic charge. It will be a profound opportunity transform yourselves, open to deeper levels of mystery and dance the Essential in a very alive way.

"The imaginal swirls with symbols, myths and forms of the unconscious mind of the individual, collective and universe as one - echoing the bridge between eternity and form.

The place where the dream can become known to itself, can be heard and deeply honored and lived.

The lucid dream is essential, formless, intangible and unknowable, yet deeply felt and lived...touching the heart of the dream within the dream, with the love of consciousness.

This love is the total freedom to be feminine, unconditioned or restrained by rational and lineal thinking. This love is the interconnectivity between and within all of life and oneness with God."
